Political corruption not only leads to the misleading of resource, but also affects the manner in which decisions are manipulated.
In general, corruption is a complex social, political and economic phenomenon. Nowadays corruption is internationally recognized as a major problem in society, one capable of endangering the stability and security of societies, threatening social, economic and political development and undermining the values of democracy and morality.Historian Lord Actons warned that power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This particular statement applies to individuals, institutions, and governments and is as applicable today as it was when he said it in 1887 (Aziz, 2011).
